Born July 30th 1957, Sue Rake Born May 26th 1954  we are 2 Christian people that love doing for others.  Bob being raised on a farm in Kansas and Sue raised in Korea would one day meet and marry when he was stationed in Korea.  Having 2 sons Tim and Chris they have been fully involved in church from an early age for Bob and Sue as she came to the U.S.  Both boys are also involved one way or another in Newsong.

Last April when going to the ROW to see what everyone was talking about we saw something that changed our lives.  We saw people needing the basics of life clothes and food and shoes and just a comforting word.  On the way home we both spoke at the same time this is where God needs us.  It was as if he spoke to us both at the same time.  So the following week we brought clothes in the trunk of my wife’s car and 52 QTS of homemade soup.  Needless to say it was a big hit.  Well we soon outgrew the trunk of her car and I needed a vehicle so I asked God to provide me an SUV.  Well with a raise and change in job the amount of money was enough to buy a nice SUV to start bringing more to the ROW. I then was thinking what can we call the ministry.  So i prayed about it and God told me to help other people everyday.

Hence the Mission of H.O.P.E. was born a mission for God and others.  Well we out grew the back of the SUV and then a small trailer was donated right when we needed it and the ministry continued to grow that the small trailer was not enough.  So back to God in prayer and another trailer was donated 4 times bigger than the 3X4 trailer we had.  And even now the ministry grows as we help our brothers and sisters on the ROW we also are able to help homes with battered women and children, the Village of Hope and other people in need.  I received calls daily to see if we can help an individual or family.  Gods measure is always enough and continues to bless us.  As we first started in a small 2 bdrm apt sorting and cooking and delivering.  We needed a change and more room God again provided a way for us to get into a bigger home with a garage to sort in and a bigger kitchen to cook in.
